Manifold laurels at the INTACH FILMIT AWARDS 2020
The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) aims to promote and conserve Indian heritage in a variety of ways. It is dedicated for the conservation of unprotected architectural heritage and sites all over India. It is partnered with Filmit, an exciting multi-cultural project that helps students make short films on heritage.
In continuation of its efforts, FILMIT organised an online contest in which many schools across India participated. The students presented films on a variety of topics such as Indian heritage, traditional values that we acquire from our grandparents or the history/ cultural heritage of our city like a monument or a temple or the culture and environment of where we hail from.
Despite the pandemic, this year too, the students worked towards making these films with a lot of enthusiasm. They worked from home and used various digital resources for their research. All the films made captured the essence of the themes beautifully.
