Annual Exhibition 2025 Educate, Enhance, and Evolve to Unlock a Sustainable Tomorrow

“Education is the most powerful tool which you can use to change the world – and when infused with creativity, it shapes the world we dream of.”

Inspired by this conviction, The Indian School – Second Shift proudly hosted its Annual Exhibition on 2 August 2025, transforming the campus into a vibrant tapestry of innovation, imagination, and purposeful learning.

Carrying the theme, “Educate, Enhance, and Evolve – Unlocking the Potential for a Sustainable Tomorrow,” every display highlighted ideas of sustainability, technology, and community connection, infusing the School with youthful energy and meaningful creation.

The exhibition was inaugurated by  Principal, Ms Tania Joshi, in the presence of Vice Principal, Dr Anu Singh, Head Teacher of The Indian School, Ms Vandana Tiwari, Headmistress Ms Sanjeeta Roy, PTA members, and supportive parents. The day commenced on a melodious note with the School choir’s rendition of Saraswati Vandana, setting the tone for the inspiring journey ahead.

From the youngest learners to the senior-most students, every participant contributed to illustrating a future shaped by care and creativity. The Pre school and Pre primary sections delighted the visitors with charming creations such as kathputlis, musical bottles, and decorative crafts made from recycled materials, demonstrating that even the smallest hands can create wonders. Clay animals, masks, and vibrant paintings showcased growing skills and imagination. Displays such as “My Personal Zoo” and “My Mini Museum” reflected budding curiosity, while early literacy and numeracy concepts were presented through playful activities. The Healthy Food Corner featured models and role-play performances promoting the importance of nutritious living.

Further along, visitors entered areas buzzing with games, models, and performances that integrated subjects, underscoring that learning is at its best when disciplines connect. In Mathematics, art merged with number kites, quizzes, and multiplication games; language skills sparkled through riddles, story-building, and drama; environmental awareness came alive in fashion parades advocating animal conservation and upcycled crafts. Futuristic classroom models, kinetic-energy transport solutions, and eco-friendly city designs inspired visitors to imagine the world of tomorrow. Parents participated in “Spin the Wheel” challenges, Math-Bola, Bingo, story sequencing, and contributed to Decor Delight, collaboratively creating a shared art project.

Performing arts added warmth and humour. Productions of “The Elves and the Shoemaker”, “Alice in Wonderland”, “Matilda” by Roald Dahl, and a futuristic “Wizard of Oz” each conveyed subtle lessons on innovation, empathy, and sustainability. A reimagined Dorothy encouraged her friends to adopt technology and eco-friendly upgrades, including a solar broom and coding-powered heart, while Dorothy’s AI pet, Toto, became a favourite among the young visitors.

Senior students deepened the theme through engaging interdisciplinary corners. The Language Zone invited guests into grammar games, idiom challenges, and a Globe Theatre model, complete with conversations with famous authors through role-play. The French section recreated scenes of La Chute de la Bastille and an École Verte with AI-enabled QR codes, a photo booth, and a food stall offering authentic croissants and macarons. Displays in Hindi and Sanskrit celebrated India’s linguistic heritage, drawing comparisons between ancient and modern education systems.

Social Science exhibits reconstructed Mohenjo-daro’s ruins, showcased climatic zones and renewable energy, presented disaster management plans, and revealed sustainable city blueprints. A lively student-run news channel combined humour with critical discussions on global issues and climate change.

In the Science arena, ingenuity shone through inventions including a robot for specially-abled children, footstep-powered generators, solar-powered models, and a Medicare app for student health monitoring. Projects on bio-composting, water purification, and AI-based environmental monitoring highlighted the role of science in building a greener tomorrow.

Mathematics corners celebrated the beauty of numbers via art-integrated posters, fraction tangrams, probability experiments, and models linking trigonometry to astronomy. Spiral art, harmonographs, and mental math challenges engaged both children and adults.

Creativity found vivid expression in the Art Corner, with intricate mandalas, folk art, and eco-friendly crafts showcasing patience, skill, and cultural pride. Health and Wellness activities such as blindfold drawing and affirmation exchanges fostered positivity, while the Sports Corner reimagined athletics with sustainable stadium designs, wearable health trackers, and interactive games like F1 timing challenges and bean bag sliders.

By the end of the day, it was clear that the 2025 Annual Exhibition was not merely a display of projects, but a celebration of collaboration, curiosity, and commitment. From the smallest clay animal crafted by the Pre schooler to the most complex AI-powered model designed by the senior student, every creation echoed the School’s promise — The Indian School – Second Shift is educating, enhancing, and evolving minds to build a sustainable tomorrow.
