Well-connected and aesthetically designed, The Indian School-Second Shift is located on one of the main arterial roads of South Delhi. The beautiful tree-lined campus with its verdant lawns, ringed with summer and winter blossoms, provides a picturesque academic environment. The naturally well- lit ventilated classrooms, state-of-the-art labs, specialist teaching rooms and computerized teachers Resource Centre are perfectly equipped to offer a platform for the all-round personality development of students. The campus is child-friendly and encourages children to identify their own strengths, discover their own uniqueness and manifest their learning in different avenues, to contribute to society and the world. The Entrance Lobby with colourful interactive displays offers a warm welcome to every child. There is a spacious multipurpose Auditorium on the ground floor. An 80 seater audio visual room on the first floor is the ideal venue for conferences, lectures, workshops, educational film shows, assemblies, powerpoint presentations and teacher- training programmes. The Exhibition Hall on the third floor can seat 200 people and also be used to display student projects.

Insync with technology-enabled education, we have special SmartBoard classrooms where classes are held in an interactive visual mode. We ensure that technology does not overpower the powerful role of the teacher, whose innovative teaching practices enrich and empower students. The Learning Centre with it's enlarged library has a Reading Room and a Resource Room with audio-visual, internet and photocopying facilities.

There is a large playground at the back that can turn into a huge outdoor auditorium. An amphitheatre in the garden serves as a story- telling retreat and an exhibition nook for clay models, sculptures, tray gardens and botanical specimens. A dedicated corner for a herb garden attracts attention of one and all. The campus has a football field, a cricket pitch, a skating rink, a volleyball court, a basketball court, an indoor badminton court and facilities for table tennis and chess. The school has it's own water harvesting plant.

A health and hygiene programme is integral to the school curriculum and life skills education.The school has a fully equipped air-conditioned Medicare centre for first aid, and a school nurse is available on all working days.  A tie-up with a nearby nursing home facilitates handling of any medical emergency. A pediatrician visits the school daily. Provision of annual medical check-ups and suggested remedial measures with follow-ups ensures a community of robust healthy energetic children.

Safety and security of students is our primary concern. Close-circuit surveillance in classrooms, playfields and all entry and exit points helps ensure a high level of security at all times.
