Honours at International Education Day inter school event

The students of The Indian School-Second Shift participated in various virtual events on International Education Day, an event organised by City Montessori School, Aliganj II, Lucknow. The event commenced on 16 December 2020 and concluded on 25 January 2021. Talented teams from around 50 schools of the country presented their best in the virtual competition.

Our young scholars of The Indian School-Second Shift were very enthusiastic to participate in the events titled Groovy Moovy Energisers, Art on Platter, Rhythmic fusion, The Power of Voice Gen Orators, Ensemble, Melodicious Choral composition and Weaving your Survival, Quilt your Thought.

It is a matter of delight to share that Sanchita of class II received the First Consolation Prize for Rhythmic Fusion - East meets West competition for her spectacular presentation  of the Krishna Leela.

Samridhhi Kashyap of Pre-School participated in the online dance competition ‘Groovy Moovy Energisers’. She tapped her feet to the beat of “Let’s Sky Jump” and lit the atmosphere with her power packed performance.

Daksha Bijil Krishnan of Pre- Primary participated in the event ‘Artistry, Art on Platter’. She along with her parents prepared compost at home and explained the process of composting in a short video. 

Shaumik of Class V participated in the event ‘The power of voice, Gen Orators’. He spoke eloquently on the given topic- “Learning for people, prosperity and peace”. The event was showcased live, during which students used PPT as their medium of information- sharing, leaving the judges in awe of these young minds.

Anshika Priya Patel of Class VII wove a quilt on a handkerchief. She exhibited her experience during the pandemic by stitching, painting and colouring a picture that depicts the reality of life. It displayed the earth wearing a mask and the people following protocols in order to curb the spread of COVID -19.

The students, Riddhi (Class VI), Siddhi (Class VI), Anshika (Class VII), Alvira (Class VII), Soumya (Class VII), Ifran (Class VII), Aryan (Class VII) and Divyanshi (Class VIII) showcased their singing talent in the event “Ensemble, Melodicious Choral Composition”. They sang a melodious song based on hope. The result of the online competition was declared by the host school on 25 January 2021 in a live closing ceremony on its YouTube channel.

The students were delighted to be a part of such an educative event which offered them opportunity showcase their talent virtually.
