Class 6 visits National Science Centre

“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.” — Albert Einstein

Science ignites curiosity, fuels imagination, and encourages young minds to explore the wonders of the world around them. Learning becomes truly meaningful when students can see, touch, and experience concepts beyond the classroom. With this spirit of discovery, the students of Class VI embarked on an exciting educational excursion to the National Science Centre, New Delhi, on 15 May 2026.

The visit was a delightful blend of learning and fun, offering students an opportunity to explore the fascinating world of science through interactive exhibits, engaging activities, and thought-provoking displays. From the moment they entered the Centre, excitement and enthusiasm were evident, as every corner promised a new scientific adventure.

One of the most exciting parts of the visit was the section featuring science-based games and interactive experiments. Students enthusiastically explored attractions such as the Magic Tap, Cordless Piano, Wrestling Gorilla Arm, and optical illusion exhibits, along with activities based on force and motion, sound and vibrations, light and reflection, balance, and coordination. These hands-on experiences transformed classroom concepts into real-life learning, making science both enjoyable and easy to understand. Laughter, curiosity, and amazement filled the air as students eagerly experimented and discovered scientific principles in action.

Another thrilling attraction was the Mirror Maze, where the students navigated a fascinating world of reflection, testing their observation skills, spatial awareness, and problem-solving abilities. The maze brought immense excitement and encouraged teamwork as students helped one another find their way through the challenging pathways.

The students also explored the Human Biology Gallery and the Water: The Elixir of Life Gallery, where interactive displays helped them to understand the human body, the importance of water, and the role of science in everyday life. These exhibits sparked curiosity and encouraged students to observe, think, and ask questions.

A major highlight of the excursion was the 3D educational show on nuclear power generation. Through stunning visuals and engaging explanations, students learned how nuclear power plants generate electricity and gained insight into the role of science and technology in meeting the world’s energy needs. The show made a complex scientific concept simple, engaging, and highly informative.

Throughout the visit, the students remained inquisitive, enthusiastic, and eager to ask questions. The interactive environment encouraged exploration, critical thinking, and active participation, making learning both meaningful and memorable.

The excursion to the National Science Centre was truly an enriching and unforgettable experience. It not only broadened the students’ scientific knowledge but also inspired them to keep questioning, exploring, and discovering the endless wonders of science.
