SELF DISCOVERY WEEK

A child enters school as a unique individual, moilded by genes, the environment, and a certain spark within him or herself. An increased awareness of how special that spark is, not only makes him a better individual but also helps the child retain that quality when the pressure is on. The Indian School-Second Shift in the new academic year organized a Self Discovery Week for the children. The main objective of the Self Discovery week was to introduce making the children aware of themselves as unique individuals in the world; parallely encouraging them to think independently. Students were engaged in age-appropriate Self Discovery activities such as looking in the mirror and drawing Self Portraits, My Friend and Me , and a Family Tree which helped them build confidence and self esteem. They were extremely animated and felt important! The outcome was a treat to our eyes and theirs'!
