Fathers Day celebrations in classes I to V
A father figure is someone who stands quietly behind us, ready to catch us if we fall, yet wise enough to let us rise and try again. He gently guides us, allowing us to learn from our own mistakes, even when his heart aches in silence. A father’s selfless love and unwavering support are cornerstones in a child’s growth and happiness.
Recognising this special bond, classes I to V of The Indian School – Second Shift, celebrated Father’s Day with a series of heartwarming activities and joyful expressions of gratitude.
Class I: The students set the tone for the day by reciting poems and singing songs dedicated to the father. The innocent voices and heartfelt lyrics brought smiles all around.
Class 2: The students' love for the father came though their creativity as they crafted beautiful cards and handmade flowers—a simple yet powerful gesture of affection and appreciation.
Class III: With the theme “My Dad, My Superhero”, the students used art to portray the unique role that the father plays in our lives. The imaginative creations highlighted the admiration and respect that the children hold for dad.
Classes IV & V: The students participated in “Walking in His Shoes” an activity where each child illustrated his and her dad's shoes and thoughtfully depicted his daily routine, hobbies, and contribution to the community.
They also took part in the “Time Capsule – Father’s Day Edition”. In this endearing activity, the children teamed up with their fathers to craft memory jars and envelopes filled with shared moments and cherished mementos, to be opened and relived together in 2026.
Father’s Day is more than a date on the calendar—it is a heartfelt celebration of the paternal bond, and the tireless efforts of the father. It is a day to recount the contribution of the remarkable men who enrich our lives with their love, strength, and wisdom.
A father is a protector, a nurturer, and a steadfast pillar of strength. While every day is an opportunity to appreciate the incredible role he plays, Father’s Day gives us a special moment to express our deepest gratitude.
