RELATIONSHIP DAY 2023-24

"The quality of your life is the quality of your relationships." - Tony Robbins

The Indian School-Second Shift celebrated Relationship Day on 13th May 2023 with immense zeal and fervour. The programme was a tribute to all the beautiful relationships in our lives, especially with our mothers. The celebration began with a heartwarming address by Headmistress, Ms Sheeja Menon, who welcomed the parents and students.

Ms Geetika Singh, school counsellor at The Indian School addressed the significance of cultivating a positive mother-child relationship and  highlighted how this relationship is the purest of all relationships and emphasised the need to cherish and value it.

The programme also showcased musical performances by the Pre primary students. The English and Hindi songs dedicated to  mothers touched everyone's hearts, and the little ones' innocence added to the beauty of the event.

A small video message by the students expressing their love and affection for their mothers was also played and left everyone moved. The little ones danced to the song Lukka Chuppi, which was a delight to watch.

The celebration also had games for the mothers to play with their little ones, which was an opportunity to bond and create beautiful memories. The winners of the games were also announced amidst loud cheers and applause.

The event concluded with the distribution of handmade cards, as tokens of love, to all the mothers present. These cards were made by the students themselves, as a small gesture of gratitude towards their mothers for their infinite love and sacrifices.

The event was not just about celebrating and having fun, but it also imparted important values to our students. They learned the value of building and nurturing strong relationships with their loved ones, especially their mothers. They also learned the importance of showing gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices that our mothers make for us every day.

The celebration was a huge success and left a lasting impression on everyone's hearts.
