Movie for edutainment

Edutainment based exercises in the curriculum make learning very exciting for all levels including the kindergarteners. We at our School, spare no effort in providing our children opportunities for holistic growth and development.

Towards this end, a movie outing to a neighbourhood cinema hall was planned for the preschool, pre-primary, classes 1 and 2 students on 16 September 2019. A group of 220 excited students was accompanied by 12 teachers.

The Lion King is the story of a cub, Simba, who is forced to abandon his pride after his father Mufasa is murdered by his wicked uncle, Scar. Years later, he returns as a young lion to reclaim his throne. The gripping story of the travails of brave Simba kept our cherubs glued to their seats!

The excursion was an exercise in edutainment promoting listening, speaking and social skills. An outing such as this teaches the young ones to learn to conduct themselves in public spaces, to look after each other, besides absorbing the learning from the film. The dialogues in English helped the listening comprehension skills in the language.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the movie and the refreshments. The excitement was evident on their faces. It was indeed a wonderful and refreshing experience.
