Honours at INDRADHANUSH 2020 Inter School Competition

"Diversity is not about how we differ. Diversity is about embracing one another's uniqueness." - Ola Joseph

At The Indian School-Second Shift, we go by the belief that all students have something important to offer and that we really are better off learning together.

Keeping this in mind, Abhyuday Dani of Class 1 participated in an online inter-school competition – Indradhanush 2020 organised by the Sanskriti School on 10th August 2020.

The theme of the competition was ‘Sikkim’ wherein students with SEN were provided a platform to showcase their creativity through a fancy dress competition. The theme was in conjunction with the CBSE guidelines on Art-integrated projects.

Abhyuday wore a Bakhu - a traditional costume worn by the Bhutia tribe of Sikkim. He looked resplendent and his pleasant demeanour won him the First Position at the event.

The event lived upto its name as it offered a rainbow of possibilities to the participant students with different abilities and promoted the spirit of inclusion.

Indeed, strength lies in differences, not similarities!
