Colours of Punjab

A special assembly on Baisakhi, the harvest festival of Punjab was conducted by the students of Pre Primary- Pelican at The Indian School-Second Shift. The main aim was to educate students about the importance of Baisakhi and how it is celebrated in our country. It began with the recitation of the Shabad from the Gurubani and the importance of this festival. Students dressed up in traditional Punjabi attire spoke about why and how it is celebrated. They danced to the Bhangra beats-adding a flavour of colours and vibrancy to the festivity. Later, during the day, students were engaged in class activities related to this festival of love, thanksgiving and brotherhood. [gallery columns="2" ids="1524,1526,1527,1528"]
