An Inter-House Quiz on the occasion of Republic Day

Quizzing is always interesting and informative and laced with excitement. On the occasion of India's 76th Republic Day, an Inter-House quiz was held at School for the students of classes 6 to 9 on 27 January, 2025. The competitions aimed at nurturing the skills and talents of the enthusiastic participants and enlightening the children aware about current affairs and the history of our country.

The selected students drawn from the four houses provided a tough contest to each other. The rules were explained at the beginning by Headmistress, Ms Sanjeeta Roy. There were 4 different mind bending rounds like a rapid fire round, annaudio-visual round, a picture-based round and a buzzer round. The contestants exercised their thinking caps confidently.  

The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing, exciting and made the audience go ‘aah!’ and clap when the teams answered correctly. The audience also got a chance to participate every time the teams answered incorrectly. A range of emotions were felt in the auditorium– happiness, sadness, regret and excitement. Everyone waited with baited breath for the announcement of the final scores.

These competitionsl provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and strengths and also helped build team spirit. It was an illuminating and magnificent experience for all. The Mars House won the overall competition which instilled a sense of pride and achievement among students. This event helped in achieving both practical skills and positive character traits in students.
