1st Annual Inter House Sports Meet held on 20 February 2020

The much awaited 1st Annual Inter House Sports meet of The Indian School-Second Shift was held on Thursday 20 February 2020, on the school grounds in great zeal and excitement. The programme began with Head Mistress Ms. Rajika Dixit welcoming our guests of the day- Chairman Mr. Prafull Goradia, Director, Mr. Raisinghani, Dr. Nayana Goradia, Principal of The Indian School, Ms. Tania Joshi, and Development Advisor, Ms. Susan Thomas. She emphasised the importance of sport in a child’s life. The meet began with a well synchronised march past by the cadets of TFS under the captainship of Headgirl, Mehar Sagoi followed by Sports’ Captain Antriksh Mishra. This was followed by the commencement of the races which were a delightful demonstration of the students challenging themselves. It was a variety of races such as the ball balance race, the three legged race, hurdle race and the wheel barrow race. The inter house relay races brought the spectators to the edge of their seats! The cheering of their house mates egged the competitors to run even faster! The spectacular field drills, engaged full class participation. The pageant presented was a riot of hues set to time and rhythm with colourful pompoms, lezims, dumbells and umbrellas . The zealous students applauded and cheered the enthusiastic young sports stars and performers as the students of class 4 assembled in a formation of their School name ‘TFS‘ on the field! The prize distribution ceremony was held in two categories-juniors and seniors, where our guests Messrs Raisinghani and Bose added new feathers in the caps of the jubilant Foundationers. It was now time to tally the points and declare the Champion House and voila Mars House came out on top! House Captain Hrishita, Junior Vice caption Md. Ali accompanied by House Mistress Ms. Neelima Oberoi received their recognition from Dr. Nayana Goradia and Ms. Thomas The School field decorated with flags and buntings resonated with the sound of cheers as the meet came to a close. A vote of thanks was presented by Council Mistress, Ms. Yahvi Seth which was followed by the School song.
