Visit to Sacred Heart Cathedral for Christmas, Pre school
The best learning is one where classroom learning is collated with the real world. On that note, the students of Preschool went on a visit to a cathedral on 21st December 16 to observe Christmas celebrations.
Located in the heart of Delhi, on the busy Gol Dak Khana circle, the Sacred Heart Cathedral stands tall as one of the oldest churches in Delhi. The little visitors were shown around the spacious church in quiet. They were intrigued to see the architecture, the murals and the statue of Infant Jesus of Prague. The large fresco behind the altar of the church depicted the Last Supper, and garnered special mention from the children.

The chatty little ones were then encouraged to sit on the pews in silence as the environment was very peaceful. After being charmed by the exquisiteness of the cathedral, the children were taken to the beautiful grotto of Our Lady of Good Health in the garden, where they lit candles.
Next, it was time for some relaxation. We set off on our buses to reach India Gate and after making ourselves comfortable under the bright winter sun, our snack lunch boxes flipped open for a quick bite. The lush park provided a generous spread for our active tiny tots to run about. Finally it was time to board our buses and get back to School. The chatter in the bus was excited as every childs recollection was different and quite original!
