Relationship Day 2025

“The quality of your life is the quality of your relationships.” Tony Robbins

The Indian School-Second Shift celebrated Relationship Day on 19th July 2025 with immense zeal and fervour. The programme was a tribute to all the beautiful relationships in our lives, especially with our mothers.

The celebration began with a cheerful welcome song by our young performers, whose melody filled the air and brought smiles to every face. With great reverence and joy, Headmistress, Ms Sanjeeta Roy, took the stage and shared her words of wisdom and blessings on this auspicious occasion.

Everyone was excited to watch our adorable little ones, from Pre School to class 2, present a musical play dedicated to the unwavering affection and strength of our mothers and aunts. Through song, movement, and storytelling, our children celebrated the love they receive every day. A mother’s love is a masterpiece of nature, and an aunt’s embrace is like a second heartbeat—gentle, constant, and always nearby.

To help us understand how these bonds shape a child’s world, School counsellor, Ms Akriti Sharma, shared her thoughts on nurturing positive mother-child and family relationships. She highlighted how this relationship is the purest of all and emphasised the need to cherish and value it.

A short video was also shown, expressing love and affection for mothers, which moved everyone deeply. The little ones danced to the songs, “We Will, We Will Rock You” and “Count on Me,” which was a delight to watch.

The celebration also included games for the mothers and their little ones to play together, providing an opportunity to bond and create beautiful memories. The winners of the games were announced amidst loud cheers and applause.

The event concluded with the distribution of handmade cards, as tokens of love, to all the mothers present. These cards were made by the students themselves as a gesture of gratitude for their mothers’ infinite love and sacrifices. Along with this, a potted plant was gifted as a living symbol of care, growth, and lasting connection — a gentle reminder that love, like nature, flourishes when nurtured.

The event was not just about celebration and fun; it also imparted important values to our students. They learned the significance of building and nurturing strong relationships with their loved ones, especially their mothers and aunts, and the importance of showing gratitude for all the sacrifices mothers make every day.

The celebration was a great success and left a lasting impression on everyone's heart.
