Trip to Eco Farm!
The Indian School-Second Shift organised an excursion for the students of classes 4 and 5 to the Sohna Eco Park on 18th November 2016. We reached our destination at 10 a.m. and were welcomed by a most endearing sight of ducks, rabbits and roosters. It was exciting to observe these animals from up close.
The caretakers showed us around beds of assorted vegetables, ready to pick. They showed us how to discern if vegetables were ready to pick. Happily we learnt to harvest sweet potato, radish, brinjals, spinach and fenugreek. Lettuce, carrot, cabbage, cauliflower, onion and garlic had also been sown though not ready for harvest. We observed climbers like the bottle gourd, bitter gourd and ridge gourd and even carried an abundance of vegetables home.

The children also got a chance to take a hands' on experience on life size sciwnce models. These Some included the concave mirrors, the momentum bead stand and the cube to show the centre of mass.
The picturesque spot was something to marvel about. The Aravallis lined up on one side in the distance and the air was fragrant with freshness in a landscape of tranquility.
