Touch the Rainbow with (Herbal) Colours

Students of Pre School and Pre Pimary celebrated the Festival of Colours with festivity and enthusiasm in a special activity organised on the eve of Holi .

At a special assembly, the importance of the festival was explained. Students were urged to play Holi in an eco-friendly manner and were specially encouraged to play dry Holi in order to save water. Teachers demonstrated the process of making herbal colours using simple home ingredients and the benefits of using them. They made three basic colours- Green equal amounts of mehndi powder and flour, Yellow turmeric and besan and Red red sandalwood powder and flour. Soon the students were busy making their own herbal colours, which they carried home in newspaper bags.
