Summer Vacation Program
Early childhood years are watershed years during which a child starts his journey towards becoming socially, emotionally and intellectually mature. He/she is on a formidable yet exciting social and academic learning curve. He/she needs to develop skills in various areas to become a confident and independent learner. He/she is expected to become responsible for his education, reinforce already acquired learning and explore new areas of interest.
Keeping this in mind, The Indian School-Second Shift conducted a summer vacation program EDUDRAMA.
EduDrama is a process whereby students create and take part in impromptu drama together, drawing on their own interpretation of a poem or story and adding their own experiences to it. Such creative drama builds self-expression, confidence and problem-
Solving skills and promotes self leadership.
The vacation programme was composed of sharing time, physical, vocal and mental warm-ups, story, book and poem sharing, language dynamics, Story making, poetry alive! , communication skills enhancement interventions, creative drama and improvisation, creativity enhancing hands- on activities and craft work, performance skills, and recapitulation and reinforcement.
