A Spelling Bee competition was held on 1st August 2015 for class I. It was aimed at making the children aware of using varied vocabulary in oral and written expression. This aids the development of language skills and articulation.
All the students were given a fair chance to qualify for the competition through a series of spell-well classes, their performance rated on the number of correctly spelt words from the spellings' list. The winners of these rounds were finally selected for the main competition.
[gallery link="none" ids="5053,5054,5055"] The first round was Guess and Spell, where the student had to recognise the character/ thing and spell it correctly. The second round was Jumbled Words where the student had to decode the jumbled letters into a meaningful word. The third round was Rapid Fire, where the students had to spell the words correctly in just a minute. The competition was received in great enthusiasm and the children participated in great zeal.
