Special Assembly on Janamashtami: Pre School to class 2
"A man is made by his beliefs. As he believes, so he becomes." Lord Krishna
A special assembly on Janamashtami was presented by the students of PS to class 2 on Thursday, 22nd August 2024. Janamashtami is celebrated as a symbol of the end of darkness and the rooting out of evil forces.
The assembly began with our little children from Pre school and Pre Primary dressed in ethnic wear as Radha and Krishna presented a joyful dance. This was followed by an enthralling musical performance, songs by class 1.
The students of class 2 presented a skit showcasing the value of friendship through the story of Sudama and Lord Krishna. All the children were dressed traditionally and performed beautifully in the Janamashtami assembly.
Through the legend of Lord Krishna, the young learners were taught that we must always do good for others. Headmistress, Ms Sanjeeta Roy graced the occasion with her presence.
The Janamashtami celebration was a delightful and educational experience for the students. It provided an opportunity for the children to learn about India's rich cultural heritage and the significance of Lord Krishna in the Indian way of life.
They also learned about the significance of Janamashtami, which symbolises the victory of good over evil. The students' enthusiasm and excitement shone brightly as they understood that the primary purpose of celebrating this festival is to bring people together and to strengthen the principles of unity.
