Special Assembly on Holi by PS Magpie & PP Canary

Celebrating Holi was given an eco-friendly and peaceful mlange with herbal colours at The Indian School-Second Shift, at a special assembly by PS Magpie and PP Canary on 9th March17. The programme commenced with a lively song Aayi holi aayifrom the students. It was followed by two short skits presented by the little ones.

The first skit apprised the students of the right way to play Holi by not using toxic chemical and wet colours which are harmful for the skin and overall health and also important for natural coexistence. Our tiny tots talked about the importance of playing dry Holi using eco-friendly herbal colours made of beetroot, turmeric, henna powder, and aromatic flower petals. The second skit aimed at entreating people at large, to play a safe Holi and to refrain from hurling water balloons at passers-by.

Dressed in vibrant, traditional outfits, the students presented a lively folk dance on the popular Holi song Arre ja re hatt natkhat which was delightful.

Speaking on the occasion, teachers wished everyone and urged students to play Holi naturally.

The assembly conclude culminated with the singing of national anthem. It was truly an exhilarating experience for the soul and the senses!
