Special Assembly for Dussehra

A special assembly was conducted by classes PS-Robin, PS- Mynah and PP-Dove on the occasion of Dussehra on 6th October 2016. Dressed as Ram, Laxman, Sita, Hanuman and the demon king Ravana, the little ones were seen walking in through the School gates as the School day began! The assembly began with an invocation, followed by a medley of bhajans such as Ram bade veer the, among others, gleefully sung by students of both PS and PP. Next, the preschoolers presented a heartwarming rendition of a short scene from the Ramayana, where Sita is held captive by Ravana in the Ashok Vatika and she waits for Lord Ram to come to Lanka and rescue her. The mighty war between Lord Rama and Ravana leading to the vanquishing of Ravana was also symbolically depicted. In fact the children were excited to perform the short dramatisation of the scene from the Ramayana in their own special way. It was wonderful to see them confidently moving on the stage performing and coordinating their parts in the play. They seemed to thoroughly enjoy their parts!
