Show and Tell for Preschool

The Show and tell activity at The Indian School-Second Shift provides opportunities for both fun and learning. The Preschool students had their Show and Tell activity on green coloured objects, from 6th to 10th July, 2015. Each section carried out a show and tell activity in class, where students had brought specific green coloured objects and spoke 3-4 lines about them. This gave them an opportunity to speak in front of the class. PS Mynah and PS Magpie carried out their show and tell activity jointly, where the students of the two sections sat together in a circle, playing pass the bowl filled with green objects as they sang rhymes around it.

All the children actively participated in the activity by bringing their favourite green objects like balls, vegetables, leaves, cars, and toys amongst others and chatting about them with the class. The idea behind this activity, besides introducing Green colour, was to help preschoolers build on their communication skills and gain self-confidence by watching others whilst making an effort to speak.
