Road Safety Education
'Road safety is not just a week's campaign; it's a lifetime commitment to safeguarding lives.'
The Indian School – Second Shift recently observed National Road Safety Week to educate and raise awareness about road safety among students from Pre School to class 10. School organised various activities through the week to teach valuable life lessons and inculcate essential values.
The activities included making informative posters on road safety by students of classes Pre School to 2, a quiz on road signs for classes 3 and 4, and creating posters on traffic rules by students of grades VI to X. The students were also briefed about the significance of traffic lights, road safety rules, and the importance of wearing seat belts and helmets.
The aim was to enhance respect for one’s life and that of others and inspire students to act responsibly on the road to make Indian roads the safest in the world. The students participated in all the activities with zeal and enthusiasm and pledged to follow all the rules and act as ambassadors of road safety in their neighbourhood.
Overall, the week-long drive successfully sensitised the students about road safety and inculcated a sense of responsibility among them.
