Recognition Day for academic session 2022-23

Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.”

– Margaret Cousins

A momentous Recognition Day was observed this year on 19 May 2023 where students were awarded for their hard work, perseverance and determination for the academic session 2022-23. The event was graced by Principal, Ms Tania Joshi, Headmistress, Ms Sheeja Menon, Ms Neena Maini, PTA members, proud parents and students.

To make this day a blessed one, the ceremony commenced with a mellifluous Ganesha Vandana presented by the students. The Principal addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights into the school being a temple of learning. She also shared the importance of building robust parent-student relationships.

The Indian School believes in the holistic development of students. Students were presented with prizes in different categories across the classes. The categories awarded were Scholastic Achievements, All-Rounder, Best in Computers, Dance, Music, Art, and Skating. These meaningful moments of recognition inspired others and reinforced behaviour that leads to improvement.

The programme was conducted in a series of events. In the first part, the names of the prize winners of classes Pre School and Pre primary were announced. These were handed over by Ms Neena Maini. The anticipation on the faces of the young achievers was evident!

This was followed by the second set of awards. The winners belonging to classes I and II received their prizes from Ms Sheeja Menon. As they say- ‘Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and everything. The school choir presented a symphony of music that empowered the students and motivated their spirits.

The winners of classes III, IV and V received their awards from PTA member, Ms  Neeru Khandelwal, to a vigorous applause that reverberated across the auditorium for many moments! Then, the school choir presented a musical performance which filled the hearts of the audience with glee.

The winners belonging to classes 6 to 9  received their prizes from PTA Reps, Ms Neetu Kashyap, Ms Sawantika Chauhan and Ms Nivedita Pathak.

Finally, everyone stood to attention as the choir sang the School song. It was a proud occasion for all the achievers, their dear parents and teachers. The evening ended with glimmering eyes and jovial faces looking forward towards achieving excellence in the upcoming year. The event marked another milestone in our lives and the history of our School. It was a proud day for all the teachers, the awardees and their dear parents.
