Pre Schoolers and the Pre Primary Showcase their Co curricular Activities

Co-curricular activities are those undertaken in conjunction with the curricular activities. They supplement the curricular activities and prepare students in the 'Art of Living and Working Together'.
A Year-end Display of this was organised on 10th March 2017 in the Pre-School and Pre-Primary. Dr. Anu Singh and Ms.Sukhmeen Cheema, Vice-Principals of The Indian School and Ms. Susan Thomas, Head Teacher graced the event. Kritika and Kunica extended a warm welcome to all present.
The function commenced with our little Indian music choir presenting a medley of songs learnt, "Teri hai zameen and Thaandi hawa gungunaye etc, (Pre-Primary) children followed by the Pre-Schoolers singing Bumm chik bum bum and Humne teen cheezein dekhi.
The delightful and vibrant medley was followed by a rhythmic Indian dance by Pre-Primary students on Choti choti gaiyaan. The Pre-School students were dressed in ethnic attire and animal headgear as they pranced to perfection to the popular song, Bandar ki shaadi.
Next on stage was the harmonious Western music choir of Pre-Primary singing a medley..Up in the blue sky and With my hands on my hips ably followed by Pre-School singing One little, two little, three little lollipop!
The aerobics' students of Pre-School and Pre-Primary left the onlookers in awe as they presented an energetic display to the rhythms of Cant stop the feeling (Sunshine in my pocket) and Whenever, wherever, respectively.
A group of Pre-Primary demonstrated yoga asanas like the Suryanamaska and the Katichakrasana demonstrating the need and importance of yoga for a tranquil countenance.
The programme concluded with everyone in the hall singing the School song in unison. It was an overwhelming experience to watch the youngest ones perform so confidently and spontaneously.
