Pre school to class 5 visit Sunder Nursery
An excursion by Pre school to class 2 to Sunder Nursery, spanning a vast 90-acre expanse, was nothing short of a captivating voyage through time and nature's embrace.
On 9th February 2025, we visited Sunder Nursery with the primary objective of showing our students a heritage site where a sustainable environment has been created, inspired by the traditional Indian concept of harmony between nature, garden, and utility.
As the young explorers stepped into this enchanting realm, they were greeted by the tranquil beauty of lush greenery and the majestic presence of age-old structures. Guided by their educators, they embarked on a journey of discovery, traversing pathways adorned with fragrant blooms and towering trees, each bearing witness to the passage of time.
The children were excited to see nature’s beauty unfold before their eyes. As soon as they entered the Nursery, they saw beautiful fountains and the Sunder Burj. It was a bright autumn morning, and the children enjoyed games on the lawns, spotting many parrots! After playing a while, they moved to the play zone, which was a sensory play area. Here, they climbed tree houses, played in the sand, and enjoyed crossing the Burma bridge. The bush maze was the cherry on the cake. It was a memorable experience.
Through the excursion, the young minds were engaged in immersive learning experiences. Every corner of the nursery offered a glimpse into the glorious past of Delhi's architectural legacy.
Amidst the verdant landscape, the students found themselves surrounded by the rich heritage of India, with parts of the complex lying within the zone of the illustrious Humayun's Tomb World Heritage Site. They gazed at the intricate architecture, marvelling at the timeless beauty of structures that stood as silent guardians of history. Amidst the historical splendour, the children also revelled in the joy of play, frolicking in the play areas scattered throughout Sunder Nursery, adding laughter and excitement to their enriching exploration.
As the day drew to a close, the students departed with hearts filled with awe and admiration for the wonders they had witnessed. Their visit not only deepened their understanding of history and heritage but also instilled in them a profound appreciation for the natural world and the importance of safeguarding our cultural treasures for generations to come.
