Picnic to Nandanvan Park, Greater Kailash I

“A picnic is more than eating a meal; it is a pleasurable state of mind.” - DeeDee Stovel It has been rightly said that a child's heart not only seeks knowledge but yearns for fun and frolic while learning through experience of new and exciting things, places and people. The main objective of conducting excursions for students is to reinforce experiential and contextual learning. Keeping the same thought in mind an excursion to Nandan Van Children’s Park was organized for Class 1 on Wednesday, 5th February 2020. The students had a fun riding on the swings and slides, colourful cartoon characters and huge musical instruments. The rubberized paths and pavement tiles which have been built with special care to minimize the chances of injury to the child also served the purpose of learning numbers and words, all in an enjoyable manner. The students thoroughly enjoyed the picnic and did not want to come back from the park after spending so many hours there.
