National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is observed on October 31 every year to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is also an initiative
of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of her people, culture and achievements. This year, the celebration of Rashtriya
Ekta Diwas also coincided with the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
National Unity Day was observed at The Indian School-Second Shift by remembering Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and discussing his contribution to the Indian freedom struggle popularly known as the ‘Iron Man of India.’
A virtual pledge taking ceremony was organised for the students and staff members to mark the occasion. Students celebrated the day in enthusiasm by making posters and drawings.
The students were made aware of the special occasion, to foster and reinforce our dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and security of our nation, by reinforcing the value of a strong and united India.
