National Cancer Awareness Day activities in classes 5 to 8

National Cancer Awareness Day is observed in India on November 7. The day highlights the significance of heightened awareness about cancer prevention and its early detection. The students of classes 5 upwards of The Indian School-Second Shift observed the occasion with various activities.

Class 5 wrote an essay on the upsurge in cancer cases and early prevention measures that can result in prompt action and response with treatment.

Class 6 had an interactive session on the disease and its causes. Misconceptions regarding the disease were clarified by the teachers. A poster making activity was also undertaken by the students titled 'Awareness is Precaution and Precaution is Cure'.

Class 7 made lavender ribbons and wore them as a sign of support for those living with all types of cancer. They also took a pledge in class to reinforce awareness about thw ailment and eradicate the myths associated around it.

Class 8 made l posters with slogans which appealed for attention to treatment for those with the disease.

The activities instilled new perspective in the young minds, paving the way to a better and brighter future for all.
