Students dressed in their colourful attire matched steps to the beats of the dhol. The story of Dulla Bhatti ( popularly referred to as the son of Punjab) was narrated by the class teacher, Ms. Neera Bhagat.
The assembly concluded with our Head Teacher appreciating the presentation. The popular folk song of the season was also joyously sung by the class.
Sunder mundriye, ho!
Tera kaunvicharaa, ho!
Dullahbhattiwalla, ho!
The next day, a bonfire was lit as an invocation. The assembly walked around the fire, offering puffed rice, peanuts and popcorn. The mood was uplifting as the flames crackled to break the chill of dusk.
