Inter-House Competitions for Pre primary and Primary

On the occasion of Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan, various inter-house competitions were held at  School for Primary students on 5 August 23 and for Pre primary students on 9 August 2023. These competitions aimed at nurturing the skills and talents of enthusiastic participants.

The Pre School and Pre Primary dressed as freedom fighters and eloquently shared inspiring stories about historical figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh etc., showcasing their bravery and dedication to the nation's independence struggle. The event served as a wonderful learning experience, instilling a sense of pride and patriotism among the young minds.

Classes 1 and 2 students actively participated in a kite-making competition. They created and decorated beautiful and colourful kites with geometric patterns and floral designs. This activity fostered creativity and teamwork among students. Participants learnt to design and construct kites while developing essential values like cooperation, patience, and sportsmanship.

Concerning the upcoming and auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan, the students of class 3 participated in a card-making competition. This activity helped develop their creative and artistic skills. Through this competition, they also learnt about the relevance of the occasion.

Class 4 engaged in a rakhi-making competition wherein they used recyclable materials to make the auspicious threads. Using their skills of art and craft and cohesive learning experience, the rakhis outshone each other! Students not only enjoyed this  experience but also bonded over the knowledge gained through this activity. Girls and boys equally tied rakhis on each others' wrists as a token of gender equality.

Students of class 5 put on the chef’s cap and indulged in making a variety of sumptuous desserts in the sweet-making competition. This enabled the students to learn how to maintain hygiene while preparing food as well as have patience and cook food with love.

These competitions provided a platform for the students to showcase their talents and strengths and also helped build team spirit. It was an illuminating and magnificent experience for all. Mars House won the overall competition which instilled a sense of pride and achievement among the students. This event helped in achieving both practical skills and positive character traits in students.
