Its that wonderful time of the year again when the air is filled with festivity. India is a country with diverse cultures and multiple religions. But we Indianvallahs celebrate each festival equally with gusto and spirit.

The Pre-Schoolers celebrated Dusshera on the 20th October, 2015 at The Indian School-Second Shift. They were dressed as Ram, Lakshman, Sita, Dashrath, Kaikeyi, Hanuman, his Vanar Sena, Ravana, his demons along with the deer were seen walking through the School gate! Not to miss the little girls dressed in lehngas for the dandia!

The children were eager and happy to perform the Ram leela a dramatisation of Ramayana in their own special way. It was wonderful to see them confidently moving on the stage performing their parts in the play. The vanar sena brandished their gold gadas made in the craft class.

This was followed by a song Rama bade veer theiy and last but not the least the vibrant Dandiya dance, where they danced in a group tapping colourful sticks.

The children used dandiyas made from old newspapers going with the Schools campaign for the best out of waste !!

The ambience was charged even as we dispersed at the end of the day, the little performers brandishing their Ravana puppets and gold gadas.

Dusshera symbolises the victory of Good over Evil, and the rejoice reverberated through School.
