Classes 6-9 observe World Cancer Day

"Cancer cannot cripple love; it cannot shatter hope, it cannot conquer the spirit."

World Cancer Day is observed globally on the 4th of February every year to raise awareness about cancer, its prevention, detection and treatment. The students of classes 6 to 9 of The Indian School- Second Shift participated in various activities, conducted with the objective to create awareness about this global concern.

The students of class 6 discussed the significance of the day and stated the importance of spreading awareness amongst their peers. They also shared their views on the symptoms and treatment available worldwide. Later, they wrote a paragraph each on the problem. The children also made posters to spread awareness about this deadly disease.

The students of class 7 showcased their creativity through compelling slogan writing, emphasising the importance of fighting courageously against cancer.

Class 8 students pledged their commitment to spreading cancer awareness and supporting those affected, without any sense of discrimination.

The eloquent speakers of class 9 delivered insightful speeches, shedding light on the significance of early detection and preventive measures in the battle against cancer.

These activities served as a powerful platform for the young minds to contribute to the global fight against this formidable disease. It reminded them of the importance of collective effort in raising awareness, fostering collaboration, and mobilising action.
