Class 4 excursion to Waste to Wonder Park

On February 24, 2024, the students of class 4 of The Indian School-Second Shift, along with their teachers, went on an educational trip to the 'Waste to Wonder Park', Sarai Kale Khan.

The main aim of the trip was to provide students with an immersive learning experience that focused on environmental awareness and recycling. The students got a chance to see how scrap material can be creatively used to make sculptures of the iconic wonders of the world. The park's trained guides provided an overview of the park's objectives and students had the opportunity to view the various sculptures made entirely from scrap.

Apart from the guided tour, the students participated in an interactive session that focused on waste management, recycling techniques and environmental sustainability. These sessions were facilitated by the park staff and complemented classroom learning objectives.

The outing also included recreational activities such as group games, nature walks, and photography sessions, which were organised to promote student engagement and physical activity. The students enjoyed a picnic lunch amidst the picturesque surroundings of the park.

Overall, the educational trip to the Waste to Wonder Park proved to be a highly informative and valuable experience for the students. They gained practical insights into waste management and environmental conservation, fostered creativity, and strengthened social bonds among themselves.
