Children's Day celebrated at School
Children’s Day was observed with heartfelt joy and warmth at The Indian School – Second Shift on 14November, 2025. The entire auditorium resonated with excitement as students and teachers united to celebrate the innocence, cheerfulness, and vibrant spirit of childhood.
The celebration commenced with an engaging animal puppet show presented by the Nursery and KG teachers. Using vibrant puppets, expressive voice modulation, and delightful storytelling, they captured the attention of the children instantly. This was followed by a clown dance, where the teachers performed light-hearted antics, danced energetically, and interacted playfully with the audience. The auditorium was filled with laughter as the children squealed in delight!
Adding a melodious touch, the teachers, accompanied by the music teacher, presented a delightful medley of popular children’s songs. Their cheerful singing created an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness, with many students joyfully clapping along with the rhythm.
Headmistress, Ms Sanjeeta Roy, addressed the gathering with an insightful words. She highlighted the significance of Children’s Day and emphasised the importance of nurturing every child's individuality, creativity, and talents. She also spoke about exceptional child prodigies of India, encouraging students to dream fearlessly and believe in their abilities. Furthermore, she explained the life, values, and vision of Pandit JawaharlalNehru, whose deep affection for children lends itself to his birth anniversary being celebrated so.
Following the stage performances, the sports' teacher organised an exciting series of races and fun activities for the students of Pre school to class10. Events such as the hop-on-one-leg race, book-balancing race, rabbit-hop race, and ball-between-the-legs game added energy and laughter to the day, with students participating enthusiastically.
Overall, the celebration proved to be a memorable and joy-filled occasion. The children thoroughly enjoyed the festivities and carried home happy memories of a day dedicated entirely to them.
