Activities on World Day for International Justice
“Injustice is the biggest threat in society. Let us join hands to eradicate injustice from the world.”
World Day for International Justice is observed every year on July 17 to emphasise the importance of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and to draw global attention to grave crimes worldwide. ICC is an important authority in propagating the World Day for International Justice. This Court analyses and charges individuals with the most serious international crimes like racial killings, crimes during wars, offenses against humanity and crimes of aggression.
For honouring World Day for International Justice, the students of the primary classes were brainstormed with new vocabulary that included words relating to the theme of ‘justice’.
They learnt new words like law, truth, impartiality, freedom and democracy and comprehended their meanings.

Middle School students learnt about the concept of justice and its prevalence in our world with class discussions. The concept and its implications were also discussed as they all offered their ideas on what they understand to be justice. Students engaged in peer-to-peer learning during this discussion. This activity emphasised upon their speaking and comprehending skills, and brushed up their cognitive skills.
The senior students had an online interactive session with their teachers which enhanced their notion of the significance of parity, indiscrimination, equality, and human rights. The students learnt about global issues and how justice can be upheld at an international level. Students also created posters for awareness that inspired them to become agents of bringing positive changes in society.
With this day's activities, students understood that the World Day For International Justice is significant because it brings together those who support justice and victim rights, and those who wish to help prevent crimes that endanger world peace, security, and well being.
