The Mothers Day celebration held on 10thMay14, to celebratemotherhoodand paytribute to all mothers wasThe Indian School-Second Shifts firstendeavour to interact with our parents. The morning was very well attended and received. The Mother is the centre of each little childs universe, the anchor of security and love, and the Special guardian of Life. Together, thestudentsand mothers sharedhappy moments and enjoyed the day. Thetiny totsofthe Pre-Primary& class 1welcomed their moms withsongscomposed for the special occasion.The atmosphere was charged with emotions asevery mother looked out to identify her angel.After the welcomesong, thestudentspresented theGift of Loveto their mothers-a hand craftedpotpourri bagmade by them from dried flowers, fortheir mothersas a token of love & affection. This was indeed a poignant momentwhich saw all mothers instinctively hug their little ones.!! The students of class 1enthralled the audience with their dance. Abeautiful clipWhen God Created Momswas playedwhich captured the essence of motherhood and the song Mother of Mine saw a few moms hum along. Over teaandsnacks, all the guestsspokeabout howvery touchedthey were bythis special occasion of bondingand whata difference one month of School had done to their kids.. Overall the event was full of fun and excitement for the students as well as for their mothers. It would definitely be one of themostmemorable days of their lives.As we journey together as one family, there will be many more milestones and we shall work together in the years to come to achieve the vision of the School.
