Citizenship Programme initiative: Spot Fix beneath the Moolchand Flyover

On 23rd August, 2017, we went across to the area beneath the Moolchand Flyover with Citizenship Coordinator, Ms. Sangeeta Aswani and School librarian, Ms. Romi Bali for a 'Spot Fix' job. The Indian School students had earlier covered the vandalised spaces on the pillars of the flyover with beautiful graffiti.

But what we saw was very distressing. Freshly pasted posters of DUSU candidates jostled for space on the painted walls!

We patiently peeled off the posters using our tools and soapy water. Passersby happily joined in to lend a hand as we scrubbed. In fact we were particularly excited when reporters of a tv news channel stopped to ask us about our work!

We have done this to clean our city. I can't be sure the walls won't get vandalised again, but for sure we will be back to clean up yet again if they do.
