Yuletide 2015

The Indian School-Second Shift proudly hosted the much-awaited event of the year: Yuletide 2015 on December 4, 2015. Yuletide is an inter-school Christmas competition where we welcome participants from several schools of Delhi to join, share, laugh and celebrate the spirit of Christmas and togetherness.

It served as an ultimate dais to establish educational welfare and brotherhood amongst children coming from diverse schools thereby bringing and encouraging knowledge in the most entertaining manner.

Schools that participated in the event were Summerfields School, Laxman Public School, Tagore International School, Army Public School, The Indian School, Father Agnel School, etc. The School auditorium testified to the spirit of the event as the children were abuzz with excitement, anticipation, readiness, and competition. The programme took off at 10.00 am as promised in the presence of Mr. Martin Howard, our chief guest.

The choir of The Indian School-Second Shift comprising the children of classes 1, 2 and 3 stole the hearts of the audience, setting the atmosphere of Christmas as they sang Christmas carols in their adorable red and white costumes.

Four competitions were held:

1. Angels, We Have Heard on High 2. Helping Santa Wrap Gifts 3. Designing Santas Cap 4. Fables of Christmas It was a delight to watch the comradeship amongst the schools who strive to promote education and learning for the good of all. The event turned out to be a huge success with schools exhibiting spontaneity, enthusiasm, novelty, creativity and information. The Indian School lifted the overall champions trophy of Yuletide, 2015.
