VIRTUAL INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2020-21

"Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences".

To inculcate leadership qualities in the young students and to give them a feel of the functioning of the administrative body, the customary student council was formed after in depth online interviews and selection. The most awaited first-ever Virtual Investiture Ceremony of The Indian School-Second Shift for the academic year 2020-21 was held on 28th July 2020 and was attended by the proud parents of the elected student council members, members of the School management and representatives of the PTA body.

The important occasion commenced with an invocation and motivational song, ‘Dekho, dekho, phool khile hai!’ by Anshika Priya Patel. This was followed by a few words of inspiration by

Acting Principal, Ms. Sukhmeen Cheema. She motivated the new office-bearers to shoulder their responsibilities with dedication and become committed custodians of their beloved School in every aspect. Vice-chairperson, Ms Brinda Shroff   congratulated the elected members, their proud parents and teachers.

Next, by turn   the selected council members introduced themselves to the assembly  and pledged to abide by the school motto.

Meher Sagoi was invested as School Captain, Tanmay Sharma as Sports Captain, Diya Mishra as Citizenship Captain, Vishwadeepti Vardan as Co-curricular Captain, Rhea Grover as Life skills and Wellness Captain, Dhairya Saran as Jupiter House Captain, Sarthak Ghosh as Venus House Captain, Tazeen Fatima as Mars House Captain and Divyanshi Panwar as Saturn House Captain. Outgoing Head Girl  Meher Sagoi led the oath-taking ceremony and expressed her gratitude to the teachers and management in her speech on behalf of the student council.

It was indeed a defining moment for every member of the student body. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
