Vigilance Awareness Week, 27 October to 2 November 2020

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) promotes the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week every year with an endeavour to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life and raise public awareness of the same.

This year, in line with the CVC theme, The Indian School-Second Shift observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 27th October to 2nd November, 2020 with the theme of “ Satark Bharat, Samridh Bharat ( Vigilant India, Prosperous India)”.

We believe in the importance of inculcating values as above in our children so that they grow up to become responsible future citizens. School organised several competitions at the different class levels to create awareness about greater vigilance in public life.

An online poster making competition was conducted for classes 5 and 6,  based on 'Satark Bharat, Samridh Bharat'. The students designed elaborative and captivating posters making it tough to select the best. The winners of the competition were Rashi Singh who secured the first position, Manha Khan who bagged the second position followed by Samragyi Kashyap in the third position.

A virtual quiz competition was held for the students of classes 7 and 8 on the CVC theme. Students participated in a healthy and fair spirit of competition. The top scorers of the quiz were Yash Manchanda and Simran.

Towards the inculcating of greater awareness of vigilance in public life,  students took an E-Integrity pledge especially to be upheld during the online classes.

The activities not only helped reiterate the timeless values of integrity and transparency but also helped teach collective participation for the prevention of corruption and injustice.
