Teacher workshop on Stress and Anger Management

On 26th November 2020, an interactive session was organised on “Stress and Anger Management”, as part of an initiative of the Action Committee of Unaided Recognised Private Schools.Teachers of The Indian School-Second Shift attended this session on Zoom.
The webinar was led by Ms B.K. Shivani, motivational speaker and spiritual teacher and Mr S.K. Bhattacharya, President, Action Committee.

Ms.B.K.Shivani addressed the audience to explain the subject, Anger and Stress Management. She discussed the emotional dependence of our emotions on the outside world. She explained the difference between emotional illness and emotional health. Any emotion which creates a disturbance in the mind and affects our health is an emotional illness. A very strong statement- “ I am the creator of my emotions”, made by Ms Shivani proved to be thought-provoking for the audience.

She offered some beautiful examples to explain how our thoughts and feelings are dependent on other people’s behaviour.

A vote of thanks by Ms Malini Narayan, Chairperson NPSC, Principal of Army Public School concluded the session. She shared that it is not enough to reduce the curriculum content, but equally important to focus on building resilience.

The session was very useful and helped place the problem in perspective in order to help alleviate stress and anger.
It was an interactive and informative session for professionals and parents.
