Special Assembly for Christmas
“Christmas is the sparkle of kindness that makes the world bright.”
The Indian School – Second Shift conducted a special assembly on Wednesday, 24th December 2025 to celebrate the joyous occasion of Christmas. The assembly commenced with a welcome address and a brief introduction highlighting the traditions and customs associated with the festival.
The children of class 6 sang Christmas carols clearly, confidently, and enthusiastically, filling the atmosphere with cheer and delight. They also spoke lines explaining the symbolic meaning of the traditional decorations such as the Christmas Tree, Candy Cane, Lights, Star, and Bell.
The festive spirit continued with exciting activities like Secret Santa, a fun gift exchange with hidden identities. Children played several games and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. A quiz was also held, helping students learn more about the festival in an engaging way.
Our Headmistress, Ms Sanjeeta Roy, emphasised the values of togetherness, kindness, and respect. The audience listened attentively and participated wholeheartedly in the celebration.
Through this celebration, the children learnt that Christmas is about spreading hope, peace, joy, and love. The performers and the audience equally enjoyed the day, carrying home the enduring message of Christmas – Sharing and Caring.
