Skype interaction on Friendship for class 5A with Israeli peers
Students of class 5A of The Indian School-Second Shift participated in a virtual exchange with students of the Yeshurun School in Holon, Israel on 16th December 2021.
The session began with a warm welcome by class 5 educator Ms. Anupriya Choudhary and her students, welcoming Ms. Karine Tsabari and her class to the meeting. The session began with a melodious song sung by the young students from Israel. Our students presented the topic of the day- 'Friendship across the Globe’ via a short story with an impactful moral at the end.
The session continued as all participants played a short Kahoot- ‘Friends Quiz’, which engaged them with value based questions that one should ask oneself while choosing friends. The group across the screen shared stories of friendship and how it provides them with great moral support in enduring times.
Taking the session to the next level, Saanvi Mishra and Abhinav Shukla shared a presentation of inspiring quotes and witty stories of friendship and how having good friends is important. Afeefa shared a small self-composed poem on how a family is just like a group of friends at home.
A group of 6 students from Yeshurun then presented a timeless tale of friendship from history, thus emphasising the importance of love and care for each other.
The session concluded at last with a poem by Rehuraam- ‘I am friends with all' whose message was that we should remember to look to our friends in times of sorrow and happiness.
Towards the end of the insightful session, students at both ends expressed the wish to share stories again in the near future.
