Skype classroom on the SDGs, with peers for class 5
In an ever-changing world where globalisation is the norm, teaching how to be an active citizen in and beyond our communities is an integral part of our students' success.
On 5 November 2020, students of class 5 accompanied by their teachers Garima and Jibin participated in a virtual classroom with their peers, students of class 5 of D.A.V Public School, Vikaspuri who were accompanied by Ms. Gurjot V. Singh.
Within the sphere of the virtual social campaign initiated by our students on-Sustainable Development Goal 4- Quality Education and Sustainable Development Goal 16-Peace, Justice and strong institutions, this session aimed at promoting peace to create the world of tomorrow. Leaders of the future, who are in the classroom today, can play a vital role to contribute to a peaceful world. It's time to Hit Refresh!
Peace is a positive, achievable, and tangible measure of human well being and progress. Keeping this in mind, an online nukkad natak was presented by our students who, showcased the conflicts that we see in our society based on caste, religion etc. They took a pledge to uphold the religious diversity and harmony of India, to celebrate the festivals of different peoples, to respect each other’s views and thereby build a strong India.
The students presented a musical composition 'Heal the World' to reach out with their message of peace, harmony, and justice in the world. The performance was stirring and impactful.
The delightful session ended with a promise that the two schools would continue to work on these goals and their practices.
