Skype classroom on Clean Water and Sanitation

SUBJECT: SDG#6: CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION

On 24th January, 2020 the students of class III of The Indian School-Second Shift engaged in an interactive Skype session with their  peers at Istituto Marymount in Rome, 

The session commenced with the students of both the schools enthusiastically meeting each other yet again with elated shout-out of “Hi!!’

Both the schools were ready to share their presentations on the United Nation’s SDG#6 which ensures the  availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation around the world.

Several facts and figures relating to water and sanitation in our respective countries were shared to know more about the problems that living beings face from a 

limited access to clean water and sanitation. It was also discussed how we can contribute, at our own levels, to help overcome these problems for a healthy and unpolluted environment.

Our students sung a self-composed song ‘Water and Sanitation’ for their friends across the screen. A self-created video about the practices followed at our School to conserve, reuse and recycle water was shared with students across the screen.

It was a session filled with learnings and promises to spread awareness about having appropriate water and sanitation facilities through a cleanliness drives, pledge taking, posters and public discussions in the neighbourhood.

The session concluded with both the classes reluctantly wishing adieu to each other!
