Self Discovery Week 6th -10th April, 2015.
Monday represents a fresh start to the week. It is the day where the slate of the previous week is wiped clean. It is the day of new beginnings.
The journey of a new session at The Indian School-Second Shift started with the Self-Discovery Week which was organised for the students of all the classes from 6th to 10th April. This year as well, an attempt was made wherein various age-appropriate activities were planned to enhance the self-reflective capacities of the students. The aim of the self-discovery week is to give students a chance to acquire a better understanding of themselves, to know their strengths and weaknesses and also to know what makes them unique.

The students were engaged in various Self Discovery activities such as making of a self portrait by looking in the mirror and writing about themselves, drawing a picture of an animal the children wished to keep as a pet and writing a few lines about it, a family tree which helped them to know more about their family relations in detail.
The students of classes 3 made an All About Me booklet in which they described themselves; their hobbies, likes, dislikes etc , My Wish Folder where these little wonders were given a chance to share their unusual wishes, drawing a picture of their favourite family member and writing a few lines about him/her and many more.
The interest was piqued when the work of the little wonders were exhibited in the reception area which was a treat to the eyes!
It was a fun-filled week for the students as well as teachers of The Indian School-Second Shift.
