Rhyme and Rhythm, 2015- Pre-primary
Music enriches and dance revitalises both the body and soul. When beaded together in music and dance deliver enigmatic delights of the two worlds. A classic combo of verses and moves was presented on 24th September, 2015, by the Pre-primary classes of The Indian School-Second Shift. The Rhyme and Rhythm, 2015, saw spontaneity and promise packed in the performances of the tiny-tots.
The school auditorium thronged with parents excited to watch their children perform. They were warmly welcomed in by the teachers. Ms. Upasana Bhattacharya was the host for the afternoon. The show began at 3.30 pm with the prayer song, He bhagwan tumhe pranam, by the children of PP Dove. This was followed by Ms. Joshis address, congratulating The Indian School-Second Shift for the efforts and initiative in bringing things together. The first one to set the stage ablaze was PP Dove. There was colour and sweetness exuding both from the costumes and the faces of the children. They mesmerised those present with their songs, Senorita and Suraj nikla. Next, the children of PP Pelican enchanted everyone with their recitals on shapes and BINGO. PP Canary made a grand entry with children radiating confidence and style. The song kadoo raja prompted everyone to sing along. Finally it was the turn of PP Swan to spin magic in the audience with their performance on Seasons and Family. The peppy number Ten little Indian boys, by PP Koel pumped enthusiasm in one and all. The magnificent visual slides playing in the backdrop took the show to a soaring high. All the children made an effort to deliver their best as they endeavoured to make the day special for their parents.
Ms. Susan Thomas ( Head Teacher) delivered a heartwarming speech congratulating the teachers and students. The audience took a bow at the stunning dance performance on the high-voltage Bollywood number nach meri jaana by the children of pre-primary. Clad in red t-shirts/tops and blue denims, the little superstars brought the house down! The event concluded with the vote of thanks. The verve and glee of the children spoke of the success of the event.
