Relationship Day

“Cherish your human connections: your relationships with friends and family.” - Joseph Brodsky

Relationship Day was celebrated at The Indian School-Second Shift by Pre school and Pre Primary, aimed at commemorating the spirit to cherish all our relationships. It sought to introduce in the children, an appreciation, understanding and love for relationships.

Humans are social animals, they love to connect and interact with each other because we are all interdependent on each other. In the process, we tend to build beautiful and long-lasting bonds called relationships. We forge relationships with our family members, friends, neighbours and even animals.

We must nurture ties with love, care, self- respect, and mutual understanding. Transformation and change are also part of beautiful relationships.

This Relationship Day our tiny tots learnt about the various kinds of relationship that one can have and why they are important to us.

Pre-school celebrated Relationship Day with a beautiful story about family with the moral,

"Being together is so much fun!" The little ones made Oreo shake with their family members and crafted the sun with finger painting,  painting the words “You are my sunshine”. These handmade paper suns, they gifted to their loved ones.

Students of Pre-Primary were told a story with puppets, of a little girl’s birthday when each family member, showed their love for her. The children made beautiful cards for their loved ones. They were told about the importance of relationships and to cherish them.

The day turned out to be an extremely enriching and fun filled.
